The next adventure begins! As in my past trip to Nova Scotia (http://marionnovascotia.blogspot.com), I started with the preperation phase of the trip. Identifying not only the destination, but all the stops along the way. A motorcycle trip is unlike other trips. The destination is only the turnaround point in which to come back home. Every stop along the way is more important than the turnaround point... Let the adventure begin!
After a smooth start, most of the day was uneventful, well, except when a trailer strap broke after the rough roads of New York City.
Hobbled along for about 30 miles until I stopped and got a new set of straps. Got some heavy duty 1000 capacity straps. Hopefully these won't break.
Day two will get us to Waynesboro, VA, where we drop off the car and trailer and start the actual bike trip. Only a 3 hour trip today, gives us time to work out the self storage stuff.
